I am a native of Houston, Mississippi and have resided in Washington County for 51 years. I graduated from Chickasaw County High School in 1965. I graduated from Alcorn State University in 1969 with a B. S. degree in Business Education and Elementary Education. I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Master of Education degree in Reading and Elementary Education. I taught school in Hollandale, MS for 26 years and 14 years in the Greenville Public School District. I retired from the Greenville Public School District in 2007.  I have continued substituting, tutoring and presently working part time at the Washington County Juvenile Detention Center. I am married and have two children who graduated from Greenville High School. I am an active member of the Rose Hill South M. B. Church, Greenville, MS.
